Great news! Ave and I have decided to create a new category in the site:  Make Money Blogging. We’ve learned so much about monetizing our site in the past 7 months, and we’d love to share our findings and money-making tips with you.

We’ll  be writing about different networks, programs and opportunities we have found and used, evaluating which work – and which are a complete flop.

To start this off, let’s talk about one of the better blogger networks – Markerly.

About the company

Markerly describes itself as an influencer marketing platform able to advertise branded content to over 300 million people a month.  They have been featured all over the web, journals and news sources like Forbes and CNN. Their goal is to help brands amplify their reach; that’s where we come in as bloggers, we’re the amplifiers.

Who is this open to?

Markerly’s network is open to anyone with over 10,000 page views a month or an average of 3 comments per post. Currently, it looks like only English sites can join, but they can be from across the world. Markerly will only take quality blogs with good content and engaged audiences; if your site is under par, you will be rejected. After all, they’re trying to build one of the best blogging networks.

Brands they work with

According to their site, they work with some leading brands including TruMoo, eMeals, Super Bowl, Levi’s, and Jaybird Sport.

Offers

Offers from Markerly will reach you by email if your site is relevant (i.e. if your site is about technology, don’t expect to get offers about culinary tools).  We’re new to Markerly, but we’ve already been offered two sponsored content opportunities – score!  So far, the payout isn’t huge but the terms are quite fair for the pay.

Markerly also has review and giveaway offers. You can apply to review products from companies like Last Bottle Wines, Invino or Jaybird earbuds. It looks like they only provide high quality, expensive goodies for review – it’s a great sign!

Added Benefits

  • 24/7 blogger support – they are a full-service managed network
  • Heat maps of your posts – you can see what people are clicking on (super cool!)
  • Directions are really easy to follow – as is joining the network

Payment

Payments are covered within 48 hours of the post going live.  That’s really good in comparison to similar services that can take over a month or two. Payments will be covered through Paypal, and requesting payment is as easy as clicking a button.

Our final thoughts

So far, so good!  We like Markerly and what it has to offer. We’re excited to see it develop and find more sponsored opportunities in our inbox. 🙂 It’s definitely on our list of the best networks to join.
